One of the most prominent and consistent characteristics in the Arabian horse is its natural endurance. No horse can match the stamina and staying power of the Arabian and within the breed, some lines have a greater proclivity for exhibiting this trait. Such is the case with Magnum.
Says Joaquin on this subject, “The characteristics we breed for in halter are the same characteristics required for endurance. We want balance, clean, strong legs, good loins and hips and shoulders, a nice set to the neck, wide set eyes and big nostrils. All of these qualities are important for halter horses and endurance horses alike.”
Because Magnum passes on his athletic ability with such regularity, there is tremendous enthusiasm about his offspring as endurance horses in Argentina where this sport is extremely popular.
